And Winter Came - Enya

Cover Artwork Remix of Enya And Winter Came Original Cover Artwork of Enya And Winter Came As we move further into December, the artwork remixes get more wintery and cold. And Winter Came is an album full of Celtic karma from Irish artist Enya. Enya is famed for her recordings in which she sings all of the pieces of a 900 piece choir to give an etherial sound to her music. Probably the reason why her live shows are so flat. In the original cover we see Ms Brennan standing in a wintery scene in front of a white wintery horse. Choice! In the remix we see a girl who looks just as wintery and cold but - and you would never have guessed it - the clothes under her wintery shawl have all fallen off. Descant!

Run Rudolph Run - Chuck Berry

Cover Artwork Remix of Chuck Berry Run Rudolph Run Original Cover Artwork of Chuck Berry Run Rudolph Run Chuck Berry issues a wise mantra to the most famous reindeer in his song Run Rudolph Run, but the cover of this 1958 song does nothing to explain why it is that the one with the shiny red nose should travel so quickly. Is it to deliver presents on time? No! As we can clearly see in the remix, it is because a sexy babe in a bikini is chasing after reindeer with a shotgun, of course. That makes complete sense. Pull!

Frosty The Snowman - Various Artists

Cover Artwork Remix of Frosty The Snowman 2 There are many, many versions of Frosty The Snowman by a myriad of artists including Gene Autry, Perry Como, The Ronettes and Johnny Mathis. But as so many of these versions were after-thoughts, or cynical attempts to sell records at Christmas, and not released as singles in their own right, many don't have original cover artwork. This remix is not therefore a remix because there is no original work to compare. Instead, it is just a random cover that could be used for any version of Frosty The Snowman. In this version of the cover we see a very naughty Frosty who has obviously taken the notion of
we'll have some fun now, before I melt away

very literally indeed. Who would have thought that snowmen were capable of that kind of fun, eh? Chilling!

Snow - Cocteau Twins

Cover Artwork Remix of Cocteau Twins Snow Original Cover Artwork of Cocteau Twins Snow Two consecutive days of remixes where the title of the song is just Snow! Today's is by the Cocteau Twins. The original cover shows all manner of christmassy dealies including Santa, xmas trees and even some deely-boppers. This is all set against a white background that is presumably meant to illustrate snow. We prefer the remix in which there is snow on the ground and two girls (are they twins?) hugging each other for warmth. They need to keep warm as they are only wearing high-heeled boots. Piercing!

Snow - JJ72

Cover Artwork Remix of Jj7 Snow Original Cover Artwork of Jj72 Snow As the calendar flips over to December and winter approaches, it's time to start remixing wintery artwork. Today is the turn of JJ72 whose original cover for their single Snow only really represents the title of the song through the grainy interpretation of the odd picture that sits at the center of the cover. The remix is equally subtle as we see a young babe blowing snow from her icy hands. But look carefully and, oh yes, now I see it, she doesn't appear to be wearing any clothes. Arctic!

In The City - The Jam

Cover Artwork Remix of The Jam In The City Original Cover Artwork of The Jam In The City In The City is where The Jam apparently are. That being said, the original front cover artwork for their album and single of the same name, shows us only that they are standing in front of a tiled wall. This could be in the city, or could easily be somewhere else. On the remix we find a babe who is definitely in the city, as you can tell by all the skyscrapers that are next to the roof of the building she is standing on. Hat!

I Need A Dollar - Aloe Blacc

Cover Artwork Remix of Aloe Blacc I Need A Dollar Original Cover Artwork of Aloe Blacc I Need A Dollar Aloe Blacc must have spent all his money on the suit and tie he is wearing on the original artwork for the front cover of his single. Why do we know this, because he tells us that I Need A Dollar. On the remix is a babe who already has quite a few dollars, but it looks as if she may need a few more, as she hasn't been able to afford to buy all of the dress she is wearing, as there is a large gaping hole in the front of it. It looks like there are plenty of offers of a dollar going her way though so she should be able to buy a new dress soon. Bra!

Hands To Heaven - Breathe

Cover Artwork Remix of Breathe Hands To Heaven Original Cover Artwork of Breathe Hands To Heaven Lift your Hands To Heaven, that seems to be the general idea of this song by Breathe. Though if it is the original front cover artwork of the single that is to be used as a guide, it's more about putting your hands on the side of your head. On the remix is a babe illustrating how it should be done, with her hands raised squarely towards heaven. Shame she forgot to get fully dressed when demonstrating this. Vertical!

You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi

Cover Artwork Remix of Bon Jovi You Give Love A Bad Name Original Cover Artwork of Bon Jovi You Give Love A Bad Name Who gives love a bad name? You Give Love A Bad Name, at least according to Bon Jovi you do. The pouting face of the band on the front cover of the single are flaunting that message at you. On the remix we find a teacher, who gives love a very bad name, which, if the writing on the blackboard is to be believed, is Mrs Squelchiblubber. That name is very fitting for her, and would definitely be considered a very bad name for love. Silver!

Graffiti Soul - Simple Minds

Cover Artwork Remix of Simple Minds Graffti Soul Original Cover Artwork of Simple Minds Graffti Soul What does a Graffiti Soul look like? Well, according to the original album front cover artwork by Simple Minds, it is the title of the song, and the name of the album in a sans-serif font, with some scribbled version of the album name in the background. The remix has the same font, but in the background is some graffiti and, for no particular reason, a nearly naked babe, other than for her high heels. Bangle!
