The Boxer - Simon And Garfunkel

Cover Artwork Remix of Simon Garfunkel The Boxer Original Cover Artwork of Simon Garfunkel The Boxer Such a simple remix this one. The original cover of The Boxer by Simon And Garfunkel shows the two singers, the title of the song, and the singers' names, and that's it. No sign of a boxer, which is odd, given that the title of the song is The Boxer. This is very easily remedied, and in the remix we have just added a picture of a boxer. A foxy boxer as girls who wear boxing gloves, high heel boots, and not much else are normally called. Pow!

Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka

Cover Artwork Remix of Neil Sedaka Calendar Girl Original Cover Artwork of Neil Sedaka Calendar Girl What would you imagine, if we asked you to picture a calendar girl? Would it be the unsmiling face of Neil Sedaka, or would it be a 60s style pinup girl? Well Mr Sedaka clearly thinks his unsmiling face, with his jacked slung over his shoulder, is the right answer. We, on the other hand, would prefer to see a 60s style pinup girl. Good job that's what we used to remix the single then. Pop!

(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher - Jackie Wilson

Cover Artwork Remix of Jackie Wilson Higher And Higher Original Cover Artwork of Jackie Wilson Higher And Higher Jackie Wilson tells us, in this classic 60s song, that Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher And Higher. All well and good there Mr Wilson, but just what aspect of the original cover of your single shows us how high this love is lifting you. Is it the sky in the background, or your hand pointing nonchalantly upwards. Either way, the remix does a better job and we see that it is a babe who is doing the lifting, going higher and higher up a ladder. And not one in her stockings either. Rung!

Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows - Lesley Gore

Cover Artwork Remix of Lesley Gore Sunshine Lollipops And Rainbows Original Cover Artwork of Lesley Gore Sunshine Lollipops And Rainbows Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows are things that remind you of what? For us it is time for a remix of this classic song by Lesley Gore. The original cover shows Ms Gore smiling but there are no rainbows, and no lollipops and though the sun may be shining, it is not totally evident. The remix replaces Ms Gore with a different babe. Behind her the sun is shining. She is licking a lollipop. And the lollipop is rainbow colored. Tick!

Reflections - Diana Ross And The Supremes

Cover Artwork Remix of Diana Ross Reflections Original Cover Artwork of Diana Ross Reflectons Reflections of, the way life used to be. That's what Diana Ross And The Supremes sing of in this 1960s Motown classic. The original cover shows Mr Ross and the Supremes but there's no mirror image, no upturned picture, no flipped-over photograph. The remix sadly does away with the original band, but does add the all important reflection. In this case of two nude girls holding hands on a beach at sunset. Lovely!

Four Little Heels - Brian Hyland

Cover Artwork Remix of Brian Hyland Four Little Heels Original Cover Artwork of Brian Hyland Four Little Heels A user submitted entry by Colin Hesketh of England. We will let Colin tell you the story.
The original of Four Little Heels by Brian Hyland doesn't have any heels on it at all. My remix has two women, both wearing heels, which maked 4 heels in total.

Quite right Colin. We note that they are taking pictures of each other too, which is an admirable passtime and very 1960s. Flash!

Black Stockings - John Barry

Cover Artwork Remix of John Barry Black Stockings Original Cover Artwork of John Barry Black Stockings It is clear, or at least translucent, why John Barry is smiling so brightly on the original cover of his hit Black Stockings. And why is that? It's because his head is in a position where he is underneath the petticoat of a lady and whose stockings he can clearly see. But times, they are a-changing, and the remix would keep Mr Barry smiling today as we replace his original petticoated babe with a more modern mistress who is both black, and wearing stockings. Keep smiling!

Pretty Flamingo - Manfred Mann

Cover Artwork Remix of Manfred Mann Pretty Flamingo Original Cover Artwork of Manfred Mann Pretty Flamingo Overall, we give a thumbs up to the original cover of Pretty Flamingo by Manfred Mann. Why? Well it contains a hot babe wearing clothes that resemble the color scheme of flamingos and carrying some feathers. No sign of the band themselves, but that can be overlooked. The remix, then, doesn't offer much new, except that the babe in question is wearing far fewer clothes. The feathers remain, though. Down!

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly

Cover Artwork Remix of Iron Butterfly Garden Of Eden Original Cover Artwork of Iron Butterfly Garden Of Eden In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is, as every Iron Butterfly fan knows, just a corruption of the phrase, 'in the garden of Eden'. The original cover of the album (and single) do nothing to portray the biblical scene that you would normally associate with the garden of Eden. Thankfully, this has been corrected in the remix as we see a girl wearing what most people would agree was what Eve wore, and doing what most people believe Eve did, a.k.a. taking an apple from a tree. Biblical!

Joanie Sommers - June Is Bustin' Out All Over

Cover Artwork Remix of June Is Bustin Out All Over Joanie Sommers Original Cover Artwork of June Is Bustin Out All Over Joanie Sommers June Is Bustin' Out All Over - yes - it's finally June and there's a hint of summer in the air. Joanie Sommers sang this heliocentric song from the musical Carousel but the single never had a cover, so the original artwork here is just the cover of the actual 7" vinyl label, modified to be square instead of circular. The remix adds in a babe who is definitely bustin' out. Pop!
