Hey, it's the 4th of July, so what could be more patriotic than to remix the cover of a single that has USA in the title. Party In The U.S.A. was a 2009 hit for Miley Cyrus, who at the time was just breaking out of her Disney inspired cutesy phase and becoming an irksome teen. Now she is know for her lurid behavior so it only seems right to remix the cover of her single with a babe attired in more the kind of outfit we would expect Ms Cyrus to wear e.g. nothing at all. Stripey!
Single Covers, Singles Of The 1960s, Special Remixes, Summer Sizzlers, Outdoors, Public, Safe For WorkWe are definitely in a summer groove with songs of yesteryear that invoke sunshine. Yesterday we suggested that summer days were lazy which prompted us to remix this classic by Nat King Cole. On the original cover of Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer, we see Mr Cole in a suit. On the remix we see four babes on a beach, in swim suits. But my, what swim suits they are, nearer in reality to birthday suits than swim suits - they must be crazy to wear those in public. Stringy!
Whilst we are in the mood for summer croonin', here's a remix of another summer classic. Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin is another of those songs that gets you in the mood for those lazy days of summer. The original cover shows Mr Darin wearing a high neck sweater, not normally the kind of attire you expect in the high sun. What you do expect is a hot babe in a bikini and it would be lax of us not to provide such a remix. Splash!
Single Covers, Singles Released Before 1960, Special Remixes, Summer Sizzlers, High Heels, Outdoors, Safe For WorkThough this song was in the charts before any of us here at AllBum.Art were born, it still does a great job of instilling a summery vibe. Here Comes Summer by Jerry Keller is just the kind of song you need on the radio on a sunny day at the beginning of the summer to get you in the mood for the days ahead. The remix sets the mood even better with a babe, in a bikini, in the sun. Now that's the kind of summer we're hoping for this year! Sizzling!
Yet another remix of artwork for a Madonna single. As we're in a summer mood, we are remixing La Isla Bonita. In the original cover we see Ms Ciccone in a hat. Presumably the hat is meant to signify the latin nature of the song. But La Isla Bonita means the beautiful island and to us, that means sun, sea, sand, palm trees, and, of course, a topless babe sprawling out on the tree. Good job that's what the remix shows then! La Chica Bonita!
It's great to be here on holiday but what is the weather forecast? According to local weather forecaster Michael Bublé It's A Beautiful Day. That sentiment is not reflected in the cover for the single though, as all we can see is the aforementioned Mr Bublé in a shirt, tie and leather jacket. Thankfully the remix shows us what a boob-lay beautiful day should look like - that is to say two hot busty babes in bikinis. You know what they say, June is busting out all over. Right!
Leaving the beach temporarily, we find ourselves back at the hotel, and wouldn't you know it, there are folk Twisting By The Pool listening to Dire Straits. Sadly, when they made the cover for the single, the band forgot the cardinal rule, which is to at least put something on the cover that illustrates the song, or a picture of the band, or better still both. Thankfully the pool at our hotel has provided the perfect picture with which to exact a remix. Bikini!
With all those boys down on the beach, it is any wonder that we find the babes lining up to join them? Here we find Sabrina singing about Boys (Summertime Love) and on the original cover, a raunchy picture of Ms Salerno. In the remix we see the self-same Ms Salerno but this time in an even more raunchy pose. Perhaps the boys were too busy with each other to notice her in the original pose? Italian!
Single Covers, Singles Of The 1980s, Special Remixes, Summer Sizzlers, One For The Ladies, Outdoors, Not Safe For WorkSo who else is down on the beach? None other than the Boys Of Summer, at least that is the case according to Don Henley. On the original cover of the summer classic single we see Mr Henley looking rather sad. In the remix, the boys of summer are out on the beach and would you know it, all their clothes have fallen off. One for the ladies eh? Muscular!
Single Covers, Singles Of The 1960s, Special Remixes, Summer Sizzlers, Vintage & Retro, Safe For WorkWe made it, summer is here and we're On The Beach with Cliff Richard, the English Elvis, as English people apparently dubbed him. On the original cover we see Mr Richard whose head seems oddly dispositioned dancing on the beach with a babe of the era. In the remix we focus more on the beach babe of the era who is now sitting under her umbrella in a most tempting, teasing, pose. Thrilling!
