AllBum.Art - Alternative Art-Work for Album and Single Covers

It is the first of May, known as Labor Day which is all about work. So it seems appropriate, today of all days, to remix an album about Thirsty Work by Status Quo. On the original front cover artwork you will find a bottle of what looks like fizzy water which oddly is full, yet next to it is a glass which is also full. On the remix is a babe who has been hard at work and is now thirsty and is reaching for a bottle of cold water in a fridge. It is not clear what her like of work is, but it seems to involve wearing nothing other than a pair of orange high heels. Dancing!

Happy Easter! Today it is the turn of the Patti Smith Group and their highly appropriately named album of the 1970s called Easter for the remix treatment. On the original album front artwork we find Ms Smith showing us her underarm hair in a skimpy spaghetti-strap t-shirt. On the remix we find a babe in a very similar pose, with the added factor of her wearing a cross on a necklace which seems far more Eastery. Egg!

Today's remix for Tip Toe by Jason Derulo Featuring French Montana, is one of the more subtle ones on AllBum.Art. The original single front cover artwork shows a ballerina standing on her tip toes, and the remix shows the exact same thing. The only difference is the level of zoom. On the original, all we see is the shoes of the dancer. On the remix we can see all the way up her legs and whoops, she has forgotten her ballerina leotard. Embarrassing!

When Little Mix Featuring Sean Paul, sing about Hair, then you would expect plenty of hair on the front cover of their single. And in this way, the original artwork doesn't disappoint, as the girls of the band all have plenty of hair. You may be forgiven for thinking that the remix actually has less hair on it, as it actually does. In fact, it may take you a while to find the hair after spotting the long legs and high heels. But it is there. The hair. Observe!

Get A Leg Up, that is what John Mellencamp is instructing audiences of his song to do. He helps us understand what this involves by singing into a microphone whilst a partially clad babe sits behind him in a room full of paintings. This seems particularly unclear as instructions go. On the remix, a babe shows us how to get a leg up by literally getting a leg up (above her head). No need for all the mess of the original, just a single painting. Erotic!

A triple-play from none other than Roxy Music front man Bryan Ferry and his song Let's Stick Together. On the original single front cover artwork we find Mr Ferry standing in front of a microphone, but he does not appear to be stuck to it. On the first remix we find two babes wearing hats, feather boas and high heels and not much else who are close enough together that they may well be stuck. And on the final remix we find two babes who appear to be covered in some kind of glue, and who are clearly sticking together. Wise!

TheInspiral Carpets wish to illustrate that This Is How It Feels by putting, on the original single cover artwork, a picture of what appears to be a kind of crazy-paving version of a stained glass window. How does that make you feel? On the remix, a skinny babe is feeling another babe's ample assets, obviously wanting to know how it feels, given that she couldn't weigh her own puny parts. Weighty!

According to The Stereophonics, She Takes Her Clothes Off. To illustrate this, on the original single front cover artwork, we find a man kissing a girl who looks as if she couldn't be less interested in kissing him back. And they appear to be standing in an industrial area. Does she take her clothes off, not in this photo she doesn't. On the remix is a babe taking her clothes off. Now isn't that just 100% easier on the eye and brain alike? Undoing!

Run. You're trapped in a gloomy forest. Run for your life. That is the message that is received loud and clear from the original single cover artwork of this song by Snow Patrol. On the remix we find a babe standing between two rail tracks in the snow, wearing naught but a scarf. There are many reasons why she should run including an oncoming train, catching cold, or just general stupidity in the freezing cold. Duck!

When Jackson Browne names his album The Naked Ride Home, expectations for the content of the album front cover should be high. The let-down is that it shows just Mr Browne standing by some rusting steelwork. On the remix are two babes who are riding their bikes, and who are naked. The only question remaining is whether they are on their way home, but for their sake, let us hope that is where they are heading rather than a Mormon convention in Utah. Cycle!
