Today's question is being posed by Take That. The question is Why Can't I Wake Up With You? The original single front cover artwork doesn't explain why they are asking this question, however the prerequisite of waking up with someone is going to sleep with them, and the band members don't look very sleepy. On the remix we find a babe lying on her bed. Maybe she is about to go to sleep. Maybe she has just woken up. She does not seem to be with anyone. Perhaps she is waiting for one of the band members. Snooze!

Hey, Gary Barlow, Let Me Go. That is what the fans are screaming. The original front cover artwork shows Mr Barlow sitting at a piano, he doesn't appear to be restricting anyone's movement in a way that would stop them from going wherever it is they wish to go. On the remix we find a babe, but no Mr Barlow, however she is chained up and unable to go somewhere, or anywhere. She is singing let me go, and hoping that Mr Barlow is going to rescue her. That depends on whether he likes women who are chained up. Go!

A Secret Love, that is what Bee Gees are singing about. They illustrate this on the original single front cover artwork by showing a tall, thin babe in a red dress standing on what might be a beach, or may be a snowy field. On the remix, on the other hand, we find a babe, also in red, and her lover who looks as if they have been caught out, and that their love should be far more secret than it is. The look on the babe's face certainly suggests that any secrecy that she might have wanted to maintain, has been broken. Surprise!

Time for a remix of a cover of a cover. Yes, A Whiter Shade Of Pale by Annie Lennox is a cover version. The original cover cover shows Ms Lennox in what appears to be a duck onesie (with the hood off). It isn't white, nor pale. On the remix we find a babe who is very pale and wearing a white off the shoulder number, which, as far as we can tell, is a far whiter shade of pale than Ms Lennox's brown onesie, doesn't it. Intermediate beige does not really be whiter, nor shade of pale, can't you. Khaki!

What can be said about the original front cover artwork for Until The Time Is Through by Five? The most obvious is that there are five people on the cover. Four of them are wearing black, and the fifth is sitting in a char but wearing red. Is he the person whose time is through? On the remix we find a leggy babe who is standing on a stair and it's not the time that is through, but her dress which is see-through. Then again her time may be through as well, whatever that really means. Sunset!

The JoBoxers Just Got Lucky. Their definition of lucky, if their original single front cover artwork is to be used as a reference point, is lying on a bed, smoking a cigarette, looking at walls adorned with various drawings of babes clad in little more than stockings and high heels. We think the guy on the remix is even luckier, as he is lying on a bend staring at a real babe who is clad in little more than stockings and high heels. Will he become the luckiest? Perhaps only Ben Folds knows that for sure.

It's been several years since we last did a remix of a song by Joe Jackson. Is She Really Going Out With Him, is the question that he is asking and on the original single front cover artwork we find Mr Jackson looking, if anything, a little angry. No going out with anyone or such stuff. On the remix, a pretty young babe next to a grizzly old dude. Would she really go out with him, or is one of them paying for the presence of the other, without suggesting which is which. Would he really go out with her? That maybe less unobvious. Check!

Being Left Outside Alone must be an occupational hazard for Anastacia. How do we know this? On the original single front cover artwork she is kneeling down by a window and a radiator, which is left to the outside (to the right is further inside), and she is alone. On the remix is a babe who went to the left and is sitting outside by a river, and she is alone. She is also alone from a clothing perspective, somewhat alone being only with her high heel shoes. A loan!

When you are Standing Outside The Fire, would you expect to see Garth Brooks there in his red chess-board shirt and cowboy hat? Possibly, but on the original single front cover artwork there is no sign of the fire to which the song's title alludes. On the remix we find two babes who are standing outside a fire, which is the safest place to be as they would get burned if they were standing inside the fire, especially as they are wearing no protective clothing. Singe!

Everything But The Girl (or EBTG as they're sometimes monikered) bring us an EP of Covers. The original Covers cover artwork covers the essentials: the name of the band, the title of the EP, and the names of the songs they are covering. On the remix we find a girl who is everything but covered, though she is covered by a small black dress. That about covers it for today's remix, or doesn't cover it if you're the girl on the remixed cover of Covers. Clear!
