AllBum.Art - Alternative Art-Work for Album and Single Covers

There is a simple points scheme here at AllBum.Art. If the cover of a single or album contains the band members (or solo artist) and relates to the title of the song, it scores full points. Thus the original cover for Driving In My Car by Madness scores very highly. There is therefore no need to remix it, but that doesn't stop us and on the remix, we see a babe who can come and drive my car any day. Beep beep!

When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman, it gets hard. That's what Dr Hook told us back in 1979. They do not indicate what gets hard, though it does not take much imagination to work out what they might have meant. The original cover sees the band standing around looking at something, but whatever it is they are looking at is as elusive as the question of what gets hard. In the remix, it seems that both these problems are resolved satisfactorily as it seems they are looking at a beautiful woman. The hard bit... you work it out. Heartfelt!

Not strictly a single, but a track from Nicki Minaj's album The Pink Print, Grand Piano is a laid back track not reminiscent of her usual upbeat stuff. As it's an album track, there is no original cover but we very much liked this one produced by Creat1ve. The remix adds a dash of color and a glimpse of ass which we think Ms Minaj would appreciate, even in her quieter moments. Glint!

A bit of a fail for Kylie Minogue on the original cover of her single Tears On My Pillow. Although there is a picture of the diminutive Australian songstress, she is not crying and there are no pillows. To be fair to Ms Minogue, the remix also has no tears - yet - but if those two babes keep hitting each other over the head with those pillows, crying will surely follow, as clearly as blonde follows blonde. Feather!

There was a time when it was totally unfashionable to listen to Barry Manilow. That time is still with us, but things can be improved with a decent remix. Or an indecent remix. Either way, this remix of I Made It Through The Rain replaces a rather grey and grainy picture of Mr Manilow with a babe who may have made it through the rain, but has accidentally sat under a bucket of water with holes in it. Splosh!

There is so much scope for invention when the name of a band is Super Furry Animals and the title of the song is Ice Hockey Hair. What there isn't scope for is having a single cover that shows a drawing of what must be some kind of hockey jockey wearing badly drawn goggles and a microphone. That's just lamentably bad. Which is why in the remix we have shown a hockey babe who is keen to show off her ice hockey hair. Why she is doing it wearing red lingerie is another question. Query!

Some dance acts are notoriously lax when it comes to thinking about the design for the covers of their songs. Frozen by Susana And Josh Gabriel is no exception. The original cover shows us nothing at all. Not only are the artists themselves not visible, but other than the very tenuous connection between the color blue and cold things, there is nothing to indicate frozenness either. The remix has a babe standing looking at a frozen vista and although in one way she could be said to be hot, it is more likely that she is close to frozen too. Thaw!

Disco Santa (Claus) was a terrible attempt by the Village People to score a holiday hit. The idea of Santa partying away at Studio 54 is not a bad one, but the cover is very badly executed. In the remix we see a group of holiday hits in their own right. Though they may have been dancing along with Santa it seems they are all now having a bit of a break. Probably just as well as dancing with no clothes on must be especially tiring. Bounce!

No remix as such here as Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer has been covered by so many artists, but none of them have produced a cover for their version. This cover is therefore a generic version that can be used on any of the versions you might have in your music library. In it we see someone who has been doing their college art homework and has taken an unusual approach to modelling Rudolph. They have cut out pieces of what must be felt to produce the antlers and as for the nose, well more felt and a red bauble. The best part is the canvas they have used. The question that remains unanswered is whether the canvas took the artwork out to a Christmas party with her, or whether she just stayed at home. We think Rudolph would have encouraged her to head out. Shiny!

The original cover artwork for Feels Like Christmas by The Feeling, does have a bit of a Christmas feel to it, largely because of the various Christmas-related items such as a tree and some presents, and even a rather spooky looking carved wooden reindeer/bat effigy. In the remix we find one hot babe who is doing a bit of feeling, and to her, what she has in her hand, definitely feels like Christmas. Can we have a go now please? Roundel!
