On The Ropes was a single by The Wonder Stuff. That much is obvious. But what would you expect to see on the cover of their single? Maybe a picture of the band? Wrong, try again. What about someone in a boxing ring? We see where you're going there but no, wrong? The answer is simple, a young girl using a typewriter. Makes perfect sense. But not as much sense as a hot young babe tied to a tree with some ropes. Sensible!

Never heard of The Crusaders? Nor had we so we did some research and found out that they were christian soldiers who roamed Europe in the middle ages. Odd then, that they should have a hit in 1979 with Street Life. Oh, we just realized there is a second entry on Wikipedia for The Crusaders and this one mentions that Randy Crawford was the lead singer. That make more sense. The cover of their single doesn't though so we have remixed it with the kind of street life we would prefer to see. Tarmac!

Here we are again with another remix for Mr Gary Moore. This time it's his solo single, which is less rock and less roll, but more drone and more drole - Empty Rooms. But wouldn't you believe it, the room is not empty. How do we know this? Because a second photo, taken just after the one that made it to the front cover of the original single, shows a hot babe who was previously hiding behind Mr Moore. Empty boot? No, fill them. Spacious!

Time for a bit of heavy metal as August is here. What's the connection - why none at all, we just fancied a bit of hard rock. Here we see Gary Moore And Phil Lynott posing on the front of their single Out In The Fields. But where are the fields, and who is out there? From their outfits, 18th century soldiers. But let's move forward 300 years and what do we now have in that same field, but a naked babe who appears quite lost. We fancy that too. Recursive!

Money On My Mind, that's what is apparently going through the head of Sam Smith. But you wouldn't know this by looking at the cover of his single. Instead you would think that some kind of impressionist art was on his mind. Let's help you out Mr Smith, when you have money on your mind, you need to see the money. Oh, and as we are sure that as a pop star you have women chasing you everywhere, you will no doubt have a couple of sexy chicks on your mind. Put the two together and what do you get - a remix. Noted!

The Young Rascals would have us all a-Groovin' and a-moovin' no doubt if they could, in their wacky way. How do we know they groove in a wacky way, well the cover of their single suggests this as the band members sprawl around in a myriad of elevations and angles. The remix shows a bunch of young folk, groovin away at a party. Are they rascals though? It looks like it - they're partying with no clothes on. Jiggly!

What you doin' in your pants? That's the question that the Bee Gees ask in this 1976 single You Should Be Dancing. Now the question that needs asking of this question is, do they mean what is it that it is that you are doing in your pants, or do they mean why on earth are you wearing pants at all. The original cover of the single does not answer this question. The remix points to one possible outcome as we see two naked chicks dancing. Without their pants. Knickerless!

I need a lover with a Slow Hand. I need a lover with an Easy Touch. Is that so? Well the cover of this Pointer Sisters single doesn't indicate what the slow hand is needed for, or why an easy touch is essential. The remix, on the other hand, does! We can see two girls, or 'sisters', whose hands are definitely pointing to somewhere that needs an easy touch. Don't move them too fast girls, easy does it now. Gentle!

Aah, the soulful tones of Peaches And Herb tell of how they want to be Reunited. But to all intents and purposes, the cover of their single shows a couple that seem as if they were never parted. United, probably. Reunited, maybe questionably. The remix has some of this contretemps (to use a posh word) but suggests that the girl has been separated from her man and is making some effort to lure him back. He seems somewhat disinterested. How's about sending her our way then and although we have not met before, we would be happy to be united in any way on offer. Rejuvenated!

Our recent theme of requited lust continues with today's remix of Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' by none other than Michael Jackson. The original cover sees the eponymous Mr Jackson standing. What is it he wants to start? Why does he want to start it? Who does he want to start it with? Is it someone else that wants to start it with him? None of those questions are answered. In the remix, all of them are answered. An intimate relationship is what wants to start, of this there is no doubt. And who is it that wants to start it? Is it the older lady who has made her intentions clear? Or is it the younger guy who never looks a gift horse in the mouth, at least not with his face anyway? Begin!
