michael jackson bad 2michael jackson bad 1Michael Jackson proclaims himself to be Bad, which is at odds with the views here in the AllBum.Art office, as most of us generally agree that the so-called king of pop was, in reality, quite good. Maybe Mr Jackson is referring to the rather odd jacket he is wearing which has far too many buckles on it to be good. On the remix we simply find a babe wearing a baseball cap with the word 'bad' written on it and given what she is wearing, it seems that this would be a fitting description of her. Awful!

rick astley hold me in your arms 2rick astley hold me in your arms 1Hold Me In Your Arms was both an album and a single for Rick Astley. On the original cover artwork, we can't even see Mr Astley's arms, just his head and collarbones. On the remix we find a babe who is being held in the arms of what is presumably her boyfriend or husband. He seems to be dressed in a tuxedo and ready to go out to a party. She is dressed in nothing but high heels, which makes you wonder exactly what kind of party they are going to. Swing!

Bad Animals - Heart

heart bad animals 2heart bad animals 1In a way, the original album front cover artwork for Bad Animals by Heart does at least depict some animals, that are quite badly drawn, so kudos to them for that. On the remix we find some other animals (the green one is maybe a lizard, the black and white one a zebra, we are not sure what the purple one is meant to be) who are also being quite bad, hanging out together in the jungle. In another way, though, they aren't that bad at all. Dangerous!

Storm Front - Billy Joel

billy joel storm front remixbilly joel storm front 1When we first saw the original album cover artwork for Storm Front by Billy Joel, we had to investigate whether it had any connection with storms. It turns out that the red flag with a black square in it is a nautical flag meaning that storms are on the way. So thumbs up for that. On the remix, though, we find a babe standing outside whilst a snow storm is going on. She is showing us her chilly front, and so we guess this would be an alternative representation of the album's title. Peaky!

alexander o neal my t to you remixalexander o neal my t to you 1Alexander O'Neal sends us My Gift To You, which is very kind of him. On the original album cover artwork we find Mr O'Neal standing outdoors on a snowy street with olde worlde lights shining on the dark, arctic scene. All very good, but where's the gift. It seems that the gift has already been given as on the remix we find a babe opening a present and she seems quite pleased with what is in the box. Perhaps it is some new clothes as all of her old ones appear to have dissolved. Acid!

Rainforest - Paul Hardcastle

paul hardcastle rainforest remixpaul hardcastle rainforest 1Dear Paul Hardcastle,

The next time you release an album and want someone to help with putting the artwork together, please get in touch.

The original cover for your album Rainforest fails on so many fronts, it isn't worth thinking about. Where is the rain, and where is the forest? Unless you class that fuzz of a hairstyle as a forest.

Instead take our remix and think of how cool it would have been if you had thought of putting a babe standing under a big leave in a rainforest on your original artwork.

Yours sincerely,

The AllBum.Art team.

kate bush hounds of love remixkate bush hounds of love 1Another remix for Kate Bush, this time for her 1985 album Hounds Of Love. On the original album cover artwork we find Ms Bush lying down with two mutts who she seems to like, so nearly full marks for sticking to the brief and showing off the singer and the title of the album. On the remix we find a different babe with two similar looking hounds. She is taking them for a walk, for some reason toplessly. Doggy!

Oranges And Lemons - XTC

xtc oranges and lemons remixxtc oranges and lemons 1An odd thing is happening here. On the original album cover artwork for Oranges And Lemons by XTC there as an almost complete absence of citrus fruit, or indeed fruit of any kind. There are some circular blobs in citrus-based colors but these could easily be paint smudges. On the remix we find lots of oranges, but no lemons. There is, however, a pair of melons which, in case you hadn't noticed, is an anagram of lemons. How sophisticated, fruit anagrams!

shakatak drivin hard remixshakatak drivin hard 1The week may be over, but the weekend has just begun and to start it is yet another remix for this week's featured artist Shakatak. On the original album front cover for Drivin' Hard all we have to show for the driving is a freeway bridge. On the remix we find a babe who is driving hard, in fact so hard, that her nipples have gone hard. It must be quite hard for her to keep driving like that. Compass!

shakatak invitations 2shakatak invitations 1Ending the week of our Shakatak remixes, we bring you the cover of Invitations, both the single and album of the same name. On the original artwork we find a babe wearing a slightly see-through dress standing on a misty lake. That could be classified as inviting. On the remix we find a babe in a very see-through swimsuit resting by the ocean. Is she more inviting or less? That's for you to decide. Tempting!
