AllBum.Art - Alternative Art-Work for Album and Single Covers

It is interesting to note that when Orson were creating the artwork for their single and album Bright Idea, the only difference between the two was that one had a red background, and the other blue. Though these colors are kinda bright, the idea we had for the remixed artwork was for a babe sitting around in the winter snow in bright daylight so that it was so bright that it becomes difficult to see what is going on. Now that is a bright idea. Mork!

A special remix for Connie Francis and her song I'm Gonna' Be Warm This Winter... Special because usually the single front cover artwork on AllBum.Art is 600 pixels by 600 pixels in size, but this remix is double that at 1200 x 1200, you lucky person. On the original cover you will find Ms Francis in what looks like far from a cold winter scene, and more like a tropical garden. On the remix we find a babe who has dressed up warm for winter in her woolly hat and sweater but then seems to have decided that the sweater works better as a crop-top. She may have to find another way to keep warm this, or in fact any, winter. Bobble!

Blur bring us High Cool, and with it some original single front cover artwork that shows a babe in a swimming hat. Firstly, unless she is at the top of a diving board, she is not that high. Secondly, it doesn't look that chilly. On the remix we find a babe who is standing on the side of a snow covered mountain, so she is both high and given there is snow around and she is only wearing boots, no doubt quite cool too. Hilltop!

While we are on the topic of things that are wintery and cold, here's a triple-play remix for Modjo and their single Chillin'. On the original front cover artwork we find a couple who are sitting around in what looks like a ten pin bowling alley, the look more bored than chilled. On the first remix we find a babe who is blowing snow from her hands and seems quite chilled about it, despite being topless. On the second remix we find a babe who is chilling by sitting almost naked in the snow. Dedication!

January is upon us and in the northern hemisphere it's winter and as Cold As Ice, at least that is what M.O.P. tell us. It certainly looks quite chilly on the original single front cover artwork with the ice on the window, or something to that effect. The babe on the remix, though, looks exceptionally chilly, but if she will go out in the snow wearing nothing more than a swimming cap, then she ought to be expect to be as cold as ice. Dive!

What would you expect to find when looking at the front cover artwork for the single Flowers In December by Mazzy Star? Perhaps it would be a fuzzy, almost shriveled looking flower head, after all it is usually cold in December. Or would it be, as shown on the remix, two babes out and about in the snow wearing nothing other than fur coats. Maybe both are valid visions of flowers, maybe not. Floral!

Though the northern hemisphere experiences summer in July, in the southern hemisphere, it's Winter In July. Maybe that's what Bomb The Bass were thinking about when they put together the original single front cover artwork. That said, other than the fact that they are wearing warm coats, there's no indication of the season at all. On the remix we find a babe who has dressed for the summer, but found herself somewhere wintry. Not the best combination. Chill!

Yes, it's still cold outside and so the perfect time for another wintery remix, this time for The Florin Street Band and their single (well E.P. actually) The Winter Wonder. On the original single front cover artwork we find a suitably wintery scene with holly berries and that. On the remix we find an even more wintery scene as we discover a babe laying down in the snow. It's a wonder she hasn't caught a cold. Flushed!

When Cord sing about Winter on their single (and album of the same name) we expect more on the cover than a girl holding a bear standing around in front of a newsagent, but that is what is found on the original cover artwork. On the remix we find three babes who are also standing around and one of them is bare and this time it's definitely winter as there's lots of snow on the ground. Why they are in this predicament is anyone's guess. Melting!

On the original single cover artwork for Winter Song, we find Chris Rea apparently getting soaked by water pouring over him from a tuba floating above his head. What exactly this has gotten to do with winter remains as mysterious as the Bowler Hat being held by Mr Rea. On the remix we find a babe who is singing a song whilst in a very snowy and wintery setting. She has a nice warm scarf but seems to have forgotten most of the rest of her winter clothes. Icicles!
