It's 14 February which is traditionally known as Valentine's Day, so here's a remix of a song called Valentine by the Delays. On the original single cover artwork, we find that nothing says I love you as much as some black and white wires. Nothing. Well maybe not nothing. Maybe the naked babe on the remix who is covered in flowers says it a little better. Wires, or flowers. Which would you prefer? Floral!
We are not sure what springs to your mind when a song has the title of Bad Habit, but for ATFC Presents OnePhatDeeva Featuring Lisa Millet, it is a bunch of babes dancing in the vicinity of a number of Dukes Of Hazzard era cars. Just some good old boys, never did any wrong. As opposed to the nun on the remixed cover whose habits seem very bad indeed. Wrong!
Single Covers, Singles Of The 2000s, Special Remixes, Halloween Hits, Fantasy & Cosplay, Wet & Windy, Safe For WorkIt is feasible, we suppose, that when La Roux put together the original single cover artwork for In For The Kill, they thought that some dry ice and an aging sports car would suffice to give the impression of menace. On the remix we find a babe who is far less subtle in her murderous intentions as she is pointing a great big gun at someone or something, thankfully not at us. Why it is raining purple raindrops is not clear, perhaps this is on another planet. Alien!
It seems that a lot of dance music (EDM) acts including 8 Wonders who, for their original single cover artwork, came up with nothing more inventive than showing the title of the song, the name of the band, and the logo of the record company. On the remix, we find a babe who has clearly had a bit of a heavy night, and on the morning after, is taking a bath to soothe her weary bones. In full make-up. Relaxing!
Poor Paul Van Dyk (Featuring Second Sun) has a Crush. We say he is poor because the original single front cover artwork doesn't show anything to have a crush on, so we can only assume that he has a crush on getting his hand wet. On the other hand, the guy in the remix isn't doing much better, as some babe is sitting on his face and he is getting crushed too. Why she is doing this is unknown. Perhaps she enjoys sitting on people. Perhaps, even, people enjoy being sat on. Flattened!
Come on. If you're going to have a single called Colours Of The Rainbow (note the quaint British spelling), at least have more than one color on the original front cover artwork of your single, Alesha Dixon. The remix is more the kind of thing you needed, with a babe wearing multi-colored socks. Why she is dangling her mono-chromatic red panties from one leg is unknown and is totally unnecessary. Indigo!
It may seem odd to be remixing a summer sizzler in January, but it's nice to be cheered by some warm sunshine in these dark, cold times of the year (and it is, of course, summer in the southern hemisphere). The original front cover single artwork for Free As The Morning Sun by Mr Hermano doesn't have much of a summery feel about it, though with all those stars on it, it is to be hoped there would be a planet with a sunny beach on it somewhere. On the remix we find a babe enjoying the morning sun freely. Now that's more like it. Dawn!
On the original single cover artwork for Starry Eyed Surprise by Oakenfold we find a female mannequin wearing a black and white face mask and whose body has been covered in silver paint. How do we know it is a mannequin - check out the arms where you can see the join to the hand! On the remix we find two females who have been covered in silver body paint and this time they appear to be real and not dolls. Either that or the joins are very well done. Argent!
Wouldn't you expect that on the original front cover artwork of a single called Faster Kill Pussycat, there would be some kind of feline figure to see? Well, according to Oakenfold Featuring Brittany Murphy, the silhouette of a city skyline is far more the kind of thing. Not so for the remix, where we find a pussycat lapping up a bowl of milk. If the milk was poisoned, perhaps that would kill her faster. Either that or she would have to drown in it. Swim!
